OnePlus 8 Pro Live Images Shown off by a Leak

  • The OnePlus 8 Pro has finally leaked out in live images, revealing some of its design as well as internal hardware.
  • The OnePlus 8 Pro 5G will be the company’s second 5G-equipped handset after the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G that broke cover late last year.
  • As per rumors, the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G will be unveiled on the 3rd of April, 2020.

A new leak accessed by a popular Twitter source, Ishan Agarwal, has revealed what appears to be live images of the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G showing the phone in action. A few images, particularly the one showing the Settings page of the smartphone confirm the presence of the Snapdragon 865 processor used underneath, while the rear panel has the “OnePlus 5G” moniker etched onto the bottom.

We’re also treated to a few hardware elements of the smartphone, starting with the front camera which is now positioned on the left corner of the display, which means it will mostly be non-intrusive from a user experience perspective. The rear panel is shown to have a triple camera layout. Since there’s no word on how this camera will perform yet, it’s too soon to tell if it will manage to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra as well as the Apple iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max.

The aforementioned Settings page image also reveals 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM while also detailing the triple camera layout on the back. The OnePlus 8 Pro 5G will apparently use a combination of 64MP + 20MP + 12MP sensors on the back. The display is revealed to be 6.65-inches with a Fluid AMOLED screen and a 120 Hz display refresh rate.

This leak seems to have been discovered by the source via Snapchat, although it’s still unclear if this was meant to be for public viewing. Either way, we now have a very good idea of what to expect from the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G. Fans will hope that there’s more to the new flagship than this leak tells us.
