Leak Suggests the Galaxy S11 May Be Known as the ‘Galaxy S20’

With just a few months to go for the official announcement of the Galaxy S11, a new leak from @UniverseIce is suggesting that the smartphone will bear a different name altogether. It is said that the smartphone will be known as the “Galaxy S20” in order to set off a new lineup of premium flagships, while it also coincides with the year 2020 as well as the start of the new decade, thus making this a clever choice.

Naturally, we don’t know if this is confirmed, so we’re taking this revelation with a pinch of salt for the time being. However, given that the Twitter leakster has been spot on about Samsung leaks in the past, we shouldn’t be surprised if the next Samsung flagship is known as the Galaxy S20.

At any pace, we should have more word on this front as we head into January 2020. For now, we’ve heard quite a bit about the camera credentials of the flagship, while we also know that the flagship will feature the recently announced Snapdragon 865 chipset which will bring 5G capabilities to the smartphone as well.

Since the phone will use 5G, there is also talk of the device packing a big battery under the hood to keep the device running for prolonged intervals. Expect some form of fast charging tech to be also included with the company’s upcoming flagship. We’re hoping to find some surprises with the smartphone, although that may be hard to expect given the nature of leaks in the mobile industry.

What do you make of the galaxy s20 name for the company’s next flagship? Let us know in the comments below.
