The #Samsung #Galaxy #S9 is the latest flagship phone of the South Korean giant that uses a powerful hardware architecture and is loaded with several amazing features. The first thing that you will notice on this phone is that it has a large 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display that occupies most of the front portion of the device. This phone has one of the best displays to use when viewing photos, videos, or any other content.
When you want to share the content of your phone to several people or just want to watch the videos stored in your phone on a much larger display then there is a way to do this and this is called screen mirroring ( sometimes also called screen casting). What this does is it mirrors the content of the phone to the TV screen. You will need to use a TV that allows screen mirroring. This can either be one of the newer Samsung TV models or any TV with a Chromecast connected to its HDMI port.
Prerequisites: Make sure that your TV and the phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Some TV models also require that you manually switch the input mode or turn on screen mirroring.
How To Screen Mirror To TV on Galaxy S9
- Swipe down from the top of the screen using two fingers.
- Search for the smart View icon then tap on it.
- Tap on the device ( the name of the TV will appear on the phone screen) that you want your phone to connect to.
- When connected your mobile device screen will now be displayed on the TV.
You can now view the content that is on your phone on the TV. This allows videos, photos, or even games to be displayed on a much larger screen. Take note that there is some lag between the actions done on the phone and the appearance on the TV so you might not want to use screen mirror when playing fast paced games.
