How To Hide Photos On Galaxy S9

There is a way to hide photos on the Galaxy S9 and this is by using the Secure Folder feature of the phone. This is a built-in feature of the phone that allows you to hide your photos, videos, and other files from other people.

Listed below are the necessary steps that you need to perform to make sure that photos and videos that you want to stay hidden remain hidden.

First you need to setup the Secure Folder

  • Tap on Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap on Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • You will  need to sign into your Samsung account. Choose SIGN IN
  • Enter your Samsung Account details, then choose SIGN IN. If you don’t have a Samsung account then choose CREATE ACCOUNT. Just follow the steps to create an account)
  • Choose the lock method you wish to use for your Secure Folder
  • A shortcut to the Secure Folder will be added to your Home and Apps screen.

Now that you have setup the secure folder it’s time to use it. Open the app from the homescreen then tap on add files. You can then add your photos and videos which will then be transferred to this folder. The transferred files will now only become accessible from this folder.

For added security you can make the Secure Folder shortcut hidden from the home screen.

  • Tap Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • Tap Hide Secure Folder
  • Tap OK to confirm

To unhide the Secure Folder icon

  • Tap Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • Tap the Secure Folder icon at the bottom of the screen, then enter your unlock pattern, pin, or password
