This is in fact a sneaky browser hijacker that tries to convince you that your phone is infected. If you click on the button then a questionable software will be installed in your phone. Uninstall the Locate Four Virus app

The first thing you will need to do in this case is to uninstall the four virus app from your device. 

  • Go to Settings > Application Manager (Apps)
  • Select the Downloaded filter and browse around for a “Locate Four Virus” entry.
  • If you see the app  tap on it and hit Uninstall.

Check if your system is heavily damaged by the four virus issue still occurs.

Clear the browsing cache and data

Since this issue targets your browser then it’s best to clear your browser cache and data. 

  • Go to Settings > More Application Manager find the browser on which you are getting this virus alert.
  • Tap on the browser and tap on Force stop button.
  • When application stops completely then tap on Clear Data.
  • After this tap on clear cache it will clear temporary files of your browser.

Restart your phone then check if your system is heavily damaged by the four virus issue still occurs.

Uninstall the third party browser

If this problem occurs when you are using a third party browser or a browser that you have downloaded then you should just uninstall this browser. Once the issue disappears then you can simply download the browser again from the Google Play Store.

  • Select the Settings app from your app drawer or home screen
  • Tap Apps & Notifications, then hit See all apps.
  • Scroll down the list until you find the app you want to remove and tap it.
  • Select Uninstall.

Check if the issue still occurs.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

One of the ways to fix this issue is to wipe the cache partition of the phone.

For Samsung devices

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ and press the Power key to select.
  • When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

For Huawei devices

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume UP button along with Power button on your  device simultaneously for a few seconds
  • The phone will enter the stock recovery mode
  • Use volume buttons to highlight “wipe cache partition” and use power key to select it
  • Reboot the system once the process is completed

Check if the issue still occurs.

Perform a factory reset

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then the best way to deal with this right now is to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

For Samsung devices

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
  • Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
  • Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  • When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.
  • With no apps installed in the phone, try to check if the issue still occurs.

For Huawei devices

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume UP button along with Power button on your  device simultaneously for a few seconds
  • The phone will enter the stock recovery mode
  • Use volume buttons to highlight  select wipe cache/factory reset and use power key to select it
  • Reboot the system once the process is completed

After the reset the issue will most likely be resolved.
