Troubleshooting Black Screen issue on OnePlus 6
Discoloration, unnatural lines, and unresponsiveness are usually signs of screen malfunction. In many cases, repair is the least that can be done. In some few cases though, black screen may be temporary and a result of a minor bug. Simulate a battery disconnect (forced reboot)
Some OnePlus 6 users may interpret a frozen or unresponsive device as a bad screen problem right away. To check if your OnePlus 6 has simply become unresponsive to touches, try to force reboot it with these steps:
- Press and hold down the Power button on the right side of the phone
- Hold the Power button down for 10-12 seconds, or until the phone vibrates and restarts
- If the phone turns off let go then press power again for 1-2 seconds to restart the phone

Check for signs of life

Again, don’t waste your time attempting a hard reset if you know for a fact that you dropped the phone or got it wet before the screen turned black.
To hard reset your OnePlus 6:
