The HP Chromebook 14 is a lot different from the Google Pixelbook — it’s more of a budget laptop in this case. The chassis is what you would expect with a budget laptop — it’s fairly cheap, clunks and big.

As far as the hardware package goes, you get a low powered 14-inch 1,366 x 768 display. It’s not pushing a lot of pixels, so you won’t get the crisp clear clarity you would expect out of a movie, TV show or video. It’s just enough to get you by, and that’s because the HP Chromebook 14 is through and through a budget laptop. You get an Intel Dual Core Celeron N2840 processor — it’s not nearly as powerful as what you would find in the Google Pixelbook, but it’s efficient and powerful enough to get you by. With it, you only get 4GB of RAM, and a tiny 16GB hard drive.

You get just a little bit more battery life out of the Google Pixelbook than you do the HP Chromebook 14 — this budget laptop will only give you nine hours out of a single charge, and the charging is a lot slower since it doesn’t have fast charging like the Google Pixelbook.
