What to do when your JBL Link 20 doesn’t turn on

One issue that you might encounter with your Link 20 Bluetooth speaker is when you can’t seem to turn it on. This can be an annoying issue especially if you need to use it. Here are the troubleshooting steps you need to do to fix the problem.

Method 1: Perform a factory reset on JBL Link 20

The first troubleshooting step you should try is a factory reset or hard reset. This is a procedure that will remove the data stored on the Bluetooth speaker and bring it back to its default settings. This is a useful troubleshooting step to do when you are experiencing problems with the device.

The speaker should be in pairing mode right now.

Method 3: Faulty battery

There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a damaged battery. The main causes why a battery will fail is if it is constantly being overcharged or when it is always being exposed to heat. These factors will rapidly degrade the battery performance. Replacing the battery will fix this however it is recommended that you have this done at a service center.

Method 4: Faulty circuit board

Despite having an IPX7 splash proof rating there’s still a chance for water to get inside this speaker especially if the rubber cover protecting the charging port is left open. When this happens its components will get water damaged. If this is what’s causing the problem then need to have this fixed at a service center.
