The OnePlus 6T is another addition in a line of smartphones, and developers who want to develop new apps need the best ROM for OnePlus 6T. It was intended to give consumers a cheaper option than the $1000 or more flagships. That business model has worked out quite well for them, with OnePlus being able to provide top specs in their phones — the same that you would see in flagships. But there’s another benefit to the OnePlus 6T — an active development community.

1) ElementalX
If you’re tired of buggy software experiences and constant phone crashing, then you’ll definitely want to load up the ElemtanX kernel/ROM on your OnePlus 6T. This was designed for stability, for those that rely on their smartphones. On top of stability, it brings new features and useful apps to your device that makes your OnePlus 6T just a little bit more efficient.

2) Android Open Source Illusion Project
As the name might imply, Android Open Source Illusion Project (AOSIP) is based on the Google AOSP project. This is a stable custom ROM — and a great daily driver — that has been implemented with all the latest features. Blended with some excellent stability, you won’t have a problem running this one as your daily driver. Just about everything is working in this custom ROM, with in-display fingerprints being the only known issue right now. So be sure to go snag it below!

3) OmniROM
OmniROM Is next up on our list. This is yet another one that’s based off of AOSP, but was designed for stability. If you rely on your phone, want maximum battery life and performance, then this is easily for you. Here’s what the developers have to say:

It’s certainly not the most feature filled ROM out there, but it does come with a pretty clean user experience. Like we mentioned, one of the highlights and goals of this new ROM is to improve both battery life and performance on the OnePlus 6T.

4) LineageOS
Coming in as out number two contender, we have LineageOS. Based on Android Pie, this one is still under construction. It was actually the custom ROM that rose from the ashes of CyanogenMod’s failure.
As an overview, LineageOS takes the best of what the latest version of Android has to offer, and then builds upon it by adding features and bug fixes beyond what Google offers or will ever offer you. LineageOS, provides a simple, clean interface, as well as an interactive wizard to make installation easy for even the layman. It makes it easy for LineageOS to receive updates over time as well. Now, the downside is that this isn’t available for the OnePlus 6T just yet, but will be soon — it’s already out for the OnePlus 5T — so keep an eye out on XDA Developers for a test ROM.

5) MIUI 10
Coming up as our number one choice, we have MIUI 10. This is a port, but works from AOSP as a base ROM. If you’re not familiar with MIUI 10, this is essentially the UI and firmware that many of Xiaomi’s own devices run off of.That said, you’ll get that clean, colorful, and vibrant user interface right on your OnePlus 6T. This one isn’t quite daily driver ready yet, so be sure to proceed at your own risk. However, it is being updated regularly, so it’s worth keeping an eye on!

Closing Remarks on ROM for OnePlus 6T
As you can see, there are a couple of cool custom ROMs available for the Google Pixel 3. Since many of these are based on Android Pie, they are still actively under construction, so be sure to proceed at your own risk, and update them regularly! If you go looking for more, keep in mind that there still isn’t a whole lot right now, as the Pixel 3 has only been out for a couple of months — there’s still a lot of work to be done before the ROM community really takes off with this smartphone!
