T-Mobile Rolling out ‘Night Mode’ Camera Update for the Galaxy S9 and S9+

T-Mobile has just started sending out a significant camera update for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9+. This update finally brings the coveted “Night Mode” camera feature to the two devices which will assist greatly in low-light situations. This feature was introduced with the Galaxy S10 and S10+ earlier this year. It’s no secret that the Galaxy S9 and the S9+ were some of the best cameraphones when they were launched, and customers should see some major improvements after this update.

It should be rolling out right away, so be sure to check for an update manually if you haven’t received the notification yet. You can do this by heading over to Settings – Software update – Download updates manually. The update takes the T-Mobile Galaxy S9 to version G960USQU6CSI2, while Galaxy S9+ users will see their firmware version upgraded to G965USQU6CSI2. The update on both devices should be a touch under 800MB, so be sure to connect your device to an unlimited data network such as your home Wi-Fi before starting the download. Both updates come included with Android security patches dated September 1, 2019.

This update comes a day after T-Mobile started sending out a firmware update to its version of the Galaxy Note 9, so this finally concludes the update rollout for Samsung’s 2018 flagships. Have you started seeing the update on your phone yet?
