Sony is looking to compete with the Galaxy Fold
More and more manufacturers are coming out with their own Galaxy Fold competitors. And now, it appears that Sony is looking to take on the Galaxy Fold with their own foldable device.
Renowned tech leakster Max (@Samsung_News_) on Twitter is giving us a few details on what that might look like.
This could feature what they’re calling the Nautilus Design, which from the attached GIF on Twitter, could indicate a screen that rolls up akin to a scroll. Check it out below.
Sony is working on a competitor to the Galaxy Fold and Mate X.
The current prototypes feature:
3220mAh
SM7250 SoC
LG Display
Nautilus Design
10x Zoom CameraThe retail models may feature:
Snapdragon 855 Soc

As far as specifications go, the leakster mentions a 3,220mAh battery, an unannounced SM7250 processor, and another likely unannounced LG screen. It should support a 10x zoom camera as well.
We could actually see the phone in two models — one with the Snapdragon 855 chipset, and then one with Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem for, obviously, 5G networks.
We’re hoping we hear more very soon as more manufacturers announce their own foldable displays.
