Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Cannot Open Email

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is one of the best android smartphones available in the market today. It recently got dethroned as a flagship phone since the S9 has been released. This particular phone is great for doing various multimedia activities since it has a powerful hardware architecture and a large display. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8 cannot open email issue and other related problems.

S8 Cannot Open Email

Problem: Just set up a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8. The only issue I seem to be having is that I cannot ever open Yahoo mail login (App or direct website login) and rarely can open the Yahoo general website. I have googled and tried all the solutions I have found suggested. I have loaded, deleted and reloaded the app. I have tried setting up Yahoo as my main Samsung email, including the manual setup process. If I choose IMAP, which is what’s being suggested online, I get the same error as every time I try to launch any of the other variations I’ve tried: err connection reset The only manual set up I could try was the pop3 (I didn’t connect but I didn’t get that error message), but then it didn’t hear back from Yahoo and actually connect to my email account. That same “err connection reset” message is what I get when I try the Yahoo email app, the Yahoo email website log on and the IMAP manual setup processes. I’m not getting that message or having issues with any other Internet website, app or any other email service. I haven’t seen anyone on any website answer this producer question. I appreciate your help!

Solution: If you are unable to access your Yahoo email from a computer browser then you also won’t be able to access the email on your phone. The problem could be caused by a wrong username or password. You will need to contact the support team of Yahoo regarding this matter.

Just to make sure that the problem is not caused by your phone you should create a new Yahoo mail account then check if you are able to access it in your phone. If you are able to then the problem is caused by an issue with your old email account.

S8 Service Provider Auto Reconfig Error

Problem: Hi, Two days ago my S8 phone began restarting automatically after I observed “service provider auto reconfig”. I tried starting in safe mode and it was ok (I did not observe it restarting). Then I went back to normal mode and it continued restarting. I deleted the last app I remember installing, but the issue persisted. I then followed your instructions to delete cached files and Now it is switching off and not restarting. I would be grateful for any advice as this is really frustrating. Thank you.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do right now is to make sure that the phone has sufficient charge. Make sure to charge the phone first for at least 20 minutes. Once the battery has sufficient charge I suggest that you start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.

S8 Touchwiz Home Has Stopped Working

Problem: MY PHONE JUST KEEPS SAYING **YOUR TOUCHWIZ HOME HAS STOPPED!!!***THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR DAYS & I AM NOT ABLE TO USE MY PHONE AND ***THE WORST PART IS I AM BEDRIDDEN BECAUSE I JUST CAME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL ONCE AGAIN AFTER MY**??? #’S OF SURGERIES AND MY ONLY PURE HAPPINESS & LIFELINE TO THE WORLD IS MY PHONE :sparkling_heart: ALL IM BEGGING IS FOR MY PHONE TO WORK AGAIN(*PERMANENTLY!) WITHOUT LOSING **ANYTHING OFF MY PHONE AT ALL PLEASE:sparkling_heart: ***ALSO, AS YOU CAN SEE THAT I’VE HAD THE SAME PHONE# & BEEN WITH THE SAME AMAZING COMP. SINCE THE VERY START!!!! ***ALL I ASK IS FOR YOU TO PLEASE RESTART MY PHONE TO THE EXACT SAME WAY AS THE DAY BEFORE I LOST ALL MY ABILITY TO USE MY PHONE

Solution: The best way to fix this problem without losing your phone data is to clear the cache and data of the touchwiz app from the application manager as sometimes a corrupt data in this app can cause this problem.

In case the issue still persists after this then proceed with the following troubleshooting steps listed below which also will not delete your phone data.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
