J3 Screen Flickers When Battery Gets Low

Problem: My Samsung galaxy J3 has an issue where it begin to flicker once I get below 80% battery and progressively gets worse. At 60%, the battery just gives out and the phone dies on me. I tried to fix the flickering by turning on hardware overlay, turning on safe mode, clearing cache partition, and doing a factory reset. I even tried a soft reset and the flickering is still there. I’m not sure if this is related, but there is a glossy spot on my screen that appeared relatively around the same time as the flickering did. Also, when I do the soft reset, my battery went from 74% straight to 18%. Another note is that the flickering always stops when charging

Solution: We can already rule out any software glitches that could be causing this issue since you already performed a factory reset.  From the way you describe the problem it looks like this is caused by a faulty battery.  To fix this problem you should have the battery of the phone replaced at a service center.

J3 Screen Has Line

Problem: Hi there. I’ve noticed over the last couple of months there is a fine line going across my screen from right to left. It started when I noticed a tiny green dot and the line runs through it. I think the line has extended a bit further than before. It’s under the screen because I can’t feel it. I’m not sure what is is and it doesn’t look like the common crack. I wish there was a place to attach a picture so you know what it looks like. Thanks

Solution: Try checking if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the line does not appear in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then the next step is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will allow you to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then the display assembly of the phone might be damaged. The only way to fix this is to have the display of your phone replaced at a service center.

J3 Screen Is Black After Drop

Problem: Hi! Please Help !!I had a problem with my J3 a while ago, my phone fell on the ground and suddenly the bottom part of the screen turned black but everything else was working. After a day or so, the whole screen went black and the touch stopped working , also the LED notification light is still working.  So please I want to know if I have to change the whole screen or not as it’ll cost a lot so I have to know for sure. Thanks very much in advance and I would like to hear from you very soon please.

Related Problem: I was texting in the grocery store when my J7 fell out of my hands and landed on the floor. It landed flat on the back and once it hit the floor the screen went black and will not respond to touch. The only display that I can see is the blue indicator light on the top of my phone will not turn off. When I hold the power button down my phone will vibrate but my screen is completely black and unresponsive. Please help!!!

Solution: Unfortunately, it looks like the display assembly got damaged by the drop. The best way to fix this is to have the display replaced at a service center.

J7 Screen Is Flickering

Problem: Today the screen started flickering in a thin line across the middle. Then it got worse to the point where the whole bottom half is flickering bright white/yellow, obstructing the view, even when the screen is off.

Solution: The quickest way to fix this issue is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If this is caused by a software glitch then the issue will disappear after the reset. In case it persists then this is already a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty display. You will need to have this checked at a service center if this is the case.
