J3 Call Ends Randomly
Problem: Hello, I have a samsung galaxy J3. I have been experiencing an issue for about a month now, an issue that I had also experienced with my galaxy s8. Every single time, literally every single time, that I make a phone call, the call screen comes up, but before the phone begins the dialing process, the screen goes to the white call ended screen (stating call ended at the top left corner of the screen) and reverts back to whichever app had been in use prior to making the call (so if there was a music app playing, the music would resume, just as it would when ending a regular call), then, within a second or so, the phone will revert back to the call screen and continue the call like a normal call and the rest of the call will operate normally. I have done factory resets to no avail. Has anyone ever experienced this issue before?
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version. Old software versions usually have bugs and with the phone running on the latest version we can safely eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a bug.
If your phone is already running on the latest version then the next step is to clear the cache and data of the phone app from the application manager. Once this is done you should check if the issue still occurs.
If the problem still persists then check if the issue occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above steps fails to work then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Instead, try to check first if the problem still occurs.
J3 Cannot Hear Calls From Earpiece
Problem: Hi, My samsung j3 2017’s earpiece suddenly stopped working. I can’t hear people when I call them, not even their background or the crackling sounds. It all started when I plugged my earphones. I can’t hear any voices when i’m calling through my earphones as well. Although, I can hear the music that’s playing on my phone. Could you help in this matter, please. Kind regards
Solution: To eliminate the possibility of this being caused by the phone being stuck in headphone mode you should try to insert the earphone then remove it. Do this three times then check if the issue gets fixed. If it doesn’t then try restarting the phone.
If the problem still persists then proceed with the additional steps listed below.
- Clean the audio port of the phone using a toothpick. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Try checking if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then you might have downloaded an app that is causing this problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 No Sending Or Receiving Calls
Problem: Rooted my J3 . Will not send or receive calls. Device rings but when I answer neither party can be heard by the other. When I try to place a call there is never a call connect tone & it always says “dialing” until it ultimately disconnects itself. You can’t end call when it’s in this state. If I push end it just stays until it times itself out. Also.. interestingly enough a friend told me the other day that when i call it rings and he cant hear me then my phone # is displayed on his device. When I call & he can hear me my name displays on his device. This is a new issue. Have had no other related issues while rooted. Have done both soft & hard resets. Any ideas
Solution: Since you have already tried doing factory reset and the issue still persists then I suggest that you try placing another SIM card in your phone. If the issue disappears then your current SIM might be causing the problem. In case the issue still occurs then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
