Huawei P10 Randomly Shuts Down

Problem: After after the last system update, my phone just randomly shuts off for no reason and restarts it’s annoying and it happened several times a day can you help me please! I have a P10 and I’m not sure what running system it’s using but I know it’s Android and the latest. Thank you for your help

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be what’s causing the problem. You should also try starting the phone in Safe Mode to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem.

  • Turn off your Huawei P10
  • Press and hold the Power key.
  • Once the Huawei screen appears, release the Power key and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button.
  • If successful, you can see “Safe mode” in the lower-left corner of the screen.

If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then you need to start the phone in recovery mode. From here you should wipe the cache partition of the phone then follow this up with a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Huawei P10 Stuck On Boot Logo

Problem: My phone, earlier this morning, had become frozen (meaning it wouldn’t let me do anything on the screen) for about 50 secs and then it turned off. Then all of a sudden it turned off by itself and then it turned on again, but then it got to the Huawei sign and just stayed like that. It has been about 4 and a half hours and it’s still doing it. The back of my phone can’t come off so I couldn’t take out the battery, so i’m just leaving it until it runs out of battery. It’s overheating quite a lot too. So it would be much appreciated if you found a solution. Thanks!

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to remove the microSD card of the phone ( if you have one installed) then start the device in Safe Mode. If you are able to access this mode then the issue could be caused by an app you downloaded.  Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue persists then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode. If you can access this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
