Redmi K20 Pro users will be able to test Android Q

Consumers planning picking up the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are in for a treat: the devices have been added to the Android Q beta program.

This means that owners of the new smartphone will be able to take the new software upgrade for a test run before Google officially launches it.

Here’s the official word from Xiaomi:

“The Android Q Beta provides you all the features needed to improve the compatibility and development of your application for the next version of the Android. At present, the Mi MIX 3 5G, Mi 9, and Redmi K20 Pro are in the Android Q Beta program, which is free for developers to use. Simply download the preview tool and you will be able to use it immediately.”
If you plan on testing Android Q on the Redmi K20 Pro, you’ll want to make sure that your device is fully backed up. Even with betas sponsored through Google, there are still things that can go awry.

Once you’re ready to setup your K20 Pro with Android Q, be sure hit the source link and follow the instructions from Xiaomi.
