LG G5 SIM Invalid After Software Update
Problem: Hi there, I have LG G5 phone i did recently Software update and not it shows that sim invalid/service disabled. i checked a sim on different phone and its works. I reset it many times, did also network reset and factory reset and still my sim not working. i went to shop and got a new sim and still not working. I really like this phone and i just bought it not long ago. Please help me to fix it. Thank you so much.
Solution: Since the SIM card works on another phone then the problem is most likely caused by either a software or hardware issue. What you will need to do to fix this issue is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete check if the problem still occurs. If it does then you might want to consider flashing the phone with its previous firmware version. You can get the firmware file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Touchscreen Not Working After Getting Wet
Problem: So recently I wake up to water in the battery of my phone because the previous night I spilled water on my bed so I guess it go into the phone. Then later that day I put my phone, battery, and sd card in rice and then about three days later I take it out and it started powering o “Yay!” but then started acting weird and it wouldn’t let me put me in my password and it was doing itself by putting in random words. So should I put it back in rice I don’t know what to do?
Solution: Since you already placed the phone in a bag of rice and the issue still remains then the phone might already be water damaged. A component or group of components might not be functioning properly right now. The best thing to do is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Is Not Charging
Problem: Hi, I just want to ask about the problem I’m having with my LG G5, it was charging fine last wednesday but yesterday it was not charging at all, I thought it was a problem with the cable so I bought a new one, but it’s not responding either. I plugged it overnight thinking that it was just because the battery was drained, but this morning it’s not turning on.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed. Once this is done try charging the phone with the new charging cable you bought. If it still does not charge then try using a different wall charger. Should the problem persist then try using a new battery on your phone.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
LG G5 Not Turning On After Drop
Problem: Hi, my phone is under my boyfriend’s account and he is out of town but I need help with my phone as I can’t do anything without him regarding my phone. My phone was dropped by my little one and at first it was fine but shortly after it started turning off and on and freezing. My problem right now is that my screen went green with words like if they were typed and it turned off and now it won’t turn on. I tried waking it up by tapping the screen and then used the actual power button but nothing. Then I tried taking the battery off and power back on and still nothing and lastly I tried the reset for 5 seconds and still nothing. I did left the phone charging all night with its original charger though. please help.
Solution: There’s a possibility that the drop might have damaged some component inside the phone. You can however check if this is caused by some software glitch by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a charging cord and wall charger that has been checked to work on other devices.
- Turn on the phone.
If the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Not Sending Text Message To Premium Number
Problem: I have an LG G5 which is working fine. However, I am unable to send messages to the Vodafone text number (40205). It comes up with a red exclamation point and a RETRY button. I’ve rummaged through my security settings but can’t identify the issue. Thanks in advance.
Solution: You will need to change the phone setting in order for it to send text messages to premium numbers. Go to settings->applications->application manager->more->show system apps->message service-> send premium message.
LG G5 Randomly Restarts
Problem: Brand new G5. Have it for 2 weeks. Just charged it and then turned it on. Then the device just started turning itself off and on. I pulled the battery and it was really warm. I am thinking that it overheated. I pulled battery and it is cooling off.
Solution: What you will need to do in this case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then try replacing the battery with a new one.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Not Turning On
Problem: I have an LG G5 it would not shut off. It had a purple light on in the upper right corner that last night when charging, it was frozen in the morning,so I unplugged the charger and took the battery out .when I put the battery back in it showed a green light and showed 100’% charged but now it won’t turn on. I took the battery out pressed the power button to drain it. Put the battery back in to do a hard reset. Plugged it back in. Green light on still won’t turn on. It’s said 100% charged.
Solution: What you should do right now is to try to access the recovery mode of the phone and if you can then perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case this doesn’t work then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
