New Leak Reveals a Moto G8 Render Along With Hardware Specs of the Moto G8 Power

A new leak has shed light on two upcoming Moto smartphones, namely the Moto G8 and the Moto G8 Power. The leak coming from 91Mobiles also reveals a render of the Moto G8 revealing some crucial aspects like the punch-hole camera positioned at the top left corner of the display.

The G8 is also revealed to be packing a triple camera layout on the back, while its capabilities remain a mystery at this point. Moto is expected to announce the smartphones during its MWC event on the 23rd of February.

The Moto G8 Power is believed to be packing a 6.36-inch FHD+ screen, the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The key differentiator here will be the battery, with the G8 Power expected to be packing a 5,000 mAh unit coupled with support for 18W fast charging.

The standard Moto G8, on the other hand, will reportedly come with a 6.39-inch HD+ display, 32 or 64GB of storage, 2, 3, or 4GB of RAM, and a triple camera layout on the back consisting of a 16MP sensor, an 8MP sensor, and a 2MP sensor. The front is said to be packing an 8MP camera. It will pack a 4,000 mAh battery pack underneath with 10W fast charging support.

Given the markets Moto is targeting, both phones are expected to come with dual-SIM capabilities as well as NFC for payments. The addition of a rumored stylus is expected to make the G8 Power stand out from the standard G8, thus providing a viable option for the mid-range and budget segment respectively.

It’s not known at this point if Moto plans to bring these phones in the U.S. For now, the company appears focused on bringing the 2019 Razr to the States via Verizon.
