Zoom's Studio Effects feature is a fun and creative way to enhance your video calls, allowing you to change your facial elements such as eyebrows, beards, and lip color. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use this feature effectively.
Step 1: Ensure You Have the Latest Version of Zoom
To use Zoom's Studio Effects, you need to have the latest version of the Zoom video calling app installed on your desktop. Download and install the latest version from the official Zoom website if you haven't already.
Step 2: Open the Zoom App and Navigate to Settings
Open the Zoom app on your desktop and locate the Settings icon in the top-right corner. Click on this icon to access the Settings menu.
Step 3: Access the Background & Filters Option
In the Settings menu, select the "Background & Filters" option from the left pane. This will open a new window with various settings related to your video appearance.
Step 4: Enable Studio Effects
In the "Background & Filters" window, click on the "Studio Effects" option at the bottom-right corner. If you are using this feature for the first time, you will be prompted to download the Studio Effects package. Click the "Download" button to begin the download.
Step 5: Customize Your Facial Features
Once the download is complete, the "Studio Effects" pane will appear on the right side of the "Background & Filters" page. Here, you can customize various facial elements such as eyebrows, beards, and lip color. Each feature comes with three customization options: Shape, Color, and Opacity.
Step 6: Choose Your Eyebrow Style
Start by selecting your desired eyebrow style from the seven available options: soft arch, thin arch, high arch, curved, straight, sharp, and fit straight. You can preview each style before making a final choice.
Step 7: Add Facial Hair
You can add a mustache or beard to your video appearance. Choose from various styles and customize the color and opacity to match your preferences.
Step 8: Change Your Lip Color
Select a new lip color from the available options. You can choose a predefined color or customize it to your liking. Adjust the opacity to ensure the color blends naturally with your skin tone.
Step 9: Apply the Effects
After customizing your facial features, the changes will be applied to your video stream in real-time. You can see how the effects look before joining a meeting or during an ongoing call.
Step 10: Save Your Settings for Future Meetings
If you want to apply these settings to all future meetings, you can do so by clicking "Apply to all future meetings" in the "Background & Filters" settings. This way, you won't need to set up the Studio Effects every time you join a meeting.
By following these steps, you can effectively use Zoom's Studio Effects feature to add a touch of fun and creativity to your video calls.
