How to Reset Google Home Mini and Other Smart Devices

How to Reset Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen)

To factory reset a Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen), follow these steps:

Locate the Microphone Switch: On the side of your device, you will find a microphone on/off switch. Flip this switch to the off position. The LED lights on the top of your speaker should turn orange.
Initiate the Reset: Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are located on top. After about 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until you hear a sound confirming that the device is resetting.

How to Reset Google Home Mini (1st Gen)

For the first-generation Google Home Mini, the process is slightly different:

Locate the Reset Button: On the bottom of your device, you will find a small reset button located below the power cord. This button is indicated by a small circle.
