Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version before doing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below. Turn on the Wi-Fi switch 

Your phone has a Wi-Fi switch found in its Settings which has to be turned on before it is able to connect to a Wi-Fi network. What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that this switch is on.

  • Select Settings
  • Select Wireless & networks
  • Select Wi-Fi
  • Turn on Wi-Fi

Try to check if the phone can connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Check if the problem is caused by the router

There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by the router and not by your phone. What you should do right now is to eliminate the router as a possible cause of the problem. Can other devices connect to the router successfully? Does the router have a setting activated ( MAC filtering) that is blocking your phone from connecting to it? One quick way to check if this is a router related issue is to try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t, then it’s very likely that the problem is caused by the router.

Perform a soft reset

One you have made sure that the problem is not caused by the router it’s time to check if the problem is caused by temporary data in the device that has become corrupted. What you will want to do in this case is to refresh the phone software which can be done easily by simply restarting the device. This will remove the temporary data stored by the phone.

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
  • Wait as the device restarts.

Reset the phone network settings

This step is usually done whenever the phone is having a problem connecting to a data network.  The following changes will occur on your phone.

  • Stored Wi-Fi networks will be deleted.

  • Network selection mode will be set to automatic.

Start the phone in Safe Mode

There are cases when an app you downloaded from the Google Play Store will cause issues on the phone when it is installed. Wipe the cache partition of the phone

To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

  • Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while.
  • Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears.
  • In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that.
  • Press the volume key to highlight the Wipe cache option then the power key to select it
  • Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key.

Perform a factory reset

In case the above steps fails to fix the Vivo V11 won’t connect to Wi-Fi issue then the best way to deal with this right now is to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

  • Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while.
  • Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears.
  • In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that.
  • Press the volume key to highlight the “wipe data / factory reset” and press the power button to enter. A screen with many NOs and a YES will appear, with the volume keys again go to the YES and press with the power key.
  • Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key.

Setup the phone then check if the issue still persists. If it does then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. What you will want to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
