How To Fix The Oppo R15 Won’t Connect To Wi-Fi Issue

Once the latest software update has been installed proceed with the steps listed below.
Turn on the phone Wi-Fi switch
Android devices will have a Wi-Fi switch which needs to be turned on in order for the device to connect to a Wi-Fi network. There have been cases when this Wi-Fi switch has not been turned on making it seem that there is a Wi-Fi problem. What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the Wi-Fi of the phone is switched on.
- Swipe left.
- Select Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Turn Enable Wi-Fi on.
- Select the wireless network you want to connect to.
- Enter the Wi-Fi Password and select Connect. Wi-Fi password.

Check if the problem is caused by the router
Sometimes the problem can be caused by the router and not by your phone. Can other devices connect to the router successfully? Is your phone within range of your router? Does the router have a setting activated (MAC Filtering) that is blocking your phone from connecting to it? One quick way to check if this is a router related issue is to try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the issue still occurs.
Perform a soft reset
The presence of corrupted temporary data in your phone can usually cause this particular problem. What you will want to do is to refresh the phone software to eliminate this data. You can do this by simply restarting the device.
- Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
- Wait as the device restarts.

Update your phone Wi-Fi settings
This step is usually done whenever the phone is having a problem connecting to a data network. Connect to the wireless network again then check if the issue still occurs. Go to Settings then App Management then tap on All. You can also go to Settings then Additional settings then Application management. From here tap on All. Tap on Wi-Fi Settings. From here tap on clear data and cache.
Check if your phone can now connect to the Wi-Fi network.
Start the phone in Safe Mode
There are cases when an app you downloaded from the Google Play Store will cause problems on the phone when it is installed. To check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode as only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.
- Turn Off your phone.
- Press and Hold Power Button.
- Release Power button and hold Volume Down Key when you see the Oppo animation.
- Continue holding the Volume Down Key until Safe Mode appears.
In case the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
Wipe the cache partition of the phone
Your phone will store data that is most commonly used to make it run smoothly. There are cases when this cached data which is stored in a dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Press down the Power key and select the Power off option. If the screen is frozen or unresponsive, you can hold down the Power key for several seconds until the device switches off.
- Press the Volume Down and Power keys for a few moments.
- Release all buttons when the OPPO logo appears.
- Select language.
- Select Wipe Cache Partition.
- Tap ok
- Reboot the phone.
Check if the issue still occurs.
Perform a factory reset
In case the above steps fails to fix the Oppo R15 won’t connect to Wi-Fi issue then I suggest that you perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
- Press down the Power key and select the Power off option. If the screen is frozen or unresponsive, you can hold down the Power key for several seconds until the device switches off.
- Press the Volume Down and Power keys for a few moments.
- Release all buttons when the OPPO logo appears.
- Select language.
- Select Wipe data and Wipe data (Keep SMS, Contacts and Photos).
