How To Fix LG Stylo 5+ Won’t Turn On Issue
One major issue that can occur on your smartphone is when it refuses to turn on no matter what you do. This can be a frustrating experience as you will be unable to access the data stored in your device. There are several factors that can be causing this problem which can basically be boiled down to a faulty hardware or a corrupted software. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps you need to do to fix this problem.
Charge the phone
The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a drained battery. There have been several instances when the phone owner has forgotten to charge the device thus causing the phone not to turn on. To properly charge the phone just follow the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
- Fully charge the phone using its wall charger.
- In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port in case charging using the wall charger fails to work.
Once the battery has been fully charged try turning on the phone. If it still does not turn on then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
Perform a soft reset
Try to refresh the phone software to eliminate the possibility of the problem being caused by a corrupted temporary data. Although procedure is usually performed when the phone is unresponsive but should also work in this case. You can do this by simply restarting the device. Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down until the device powers off, approximately 8 seconds, then release.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone
There are times when the cached data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens it will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. - Press and hold the following keys at the same time: Volume Down Key + Power/Lock Key for approximately 10 seconds.

- Restart the phone.

Perform a factory reset
In case the LG Stylo 5+ won’t turn on issue still occurs then one last troubleshooting step you can perform is a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
- Turn the phone off.
- Press and hold the following keys at the same time: Volume Down Key + Power/Lock Key for approximately 10 seconds.
- Release both of the keys when the System recovery screen is displayed.
- Press the volume key to highlight the Factory Data Reset option then the power key to select it
- Restart the phone.
