How to Fix Galaxy S26 Play Protect Not Certified Error

Several Galaxy S26 owners are seeing a ‘This device isn’t Play Protect certified’ error on their brand new phone. This is a known issue affecting the Galaxy S26 and can be resolved with the following steps.

Fix #1: Clear Google Play Services Data

The “This device isn’t Play Protect certified” error on the Galaxy S26 is usually caused by corrupted Google Play Services data.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu and select Show System Apps.
  3. Find and tap Google Play Services.
  4. Tap Storage > Clear Cache.
  5. Then tap Clear Data > Clear All Data.
  6. Restart the phone.
