How to Fix Galaxy S25 Ultra Battery Draining Fast While Using Camera

Many Galaxy S25 Ultra users are reporting excessive battery drain, sometimes losing significant charge within a few hours. These fixes target the most common software-related causes of battery consumption issues.

Fix #1: Check Battery Usage

Identify which app is draining the Galaxy S25 Ultra battery the fastest.

  1. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery.
  2. Review the list of apps sorted by usage.
  3. If an app shows abnormally high usage, force stop it or uninstall and reinstall it.

Fix #2: Force Restart

A force restart clears stuck processes that may be consuming power.

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds.
  2. Release when the Samsung logo appears.

Fix #3: Optimize Battery Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care > Battery.
  2. Tap Background Usage Limits.
  3. Turn on Put Unused Apps to Sleep.
  4. Also enable Adaptive Battery.

Fix #4: Disable 5G (Switch to LTE)

5G consumes significantly more power than LTE. If battery life is the priority, switch to LTE.

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks.
  2. Tap Network Mode and select LTE/3G/2G.

Fix #5: Wipe Cache Partition

Cached system data can become corrupted after an update and cause excessive battery drain.

  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. Press and hold Volume Up + Power until the Samsung logo appears, then release.
  3. Use Volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition and press Power to select.
  4. Select Yes and reboot.

Fix #6: Check for Software Updates

  1. Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Fix #7: Factory Reset

If battery drain persists after all other fixes, a factory reset is the last software option.

  1. Back up all data.
  2. Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset.
  3. Tap Reset and confirm.
