How to Fix Apple Watch Not Syncing with iPhone
When your Apple Watch stops syncing with your iPhone, notifications, health data, and apps won’t update properly. These steps will restore the connection between your devices.
Method 1: Check Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure it’s on.
- Also check that Wi-Fi is enabled on both devices.
- Toggle Bluetooth off and on again on your iPhone.
- Bring the Apple Watch and iPhone close together (within a few feet).
- Check if the connection restores.
Method 2: Restart Both Devices
- On your iPhone, press and hold the Side button and Volume button, then slide to power off.
- On your Apple Watch, press and hold the Side button, then slide to power off.
- Turn on the iPhone first, then the Apple Watch.
- Wait a minute for them to reconnect.
Method 3: Update Both Devices
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
- Install any available iOS update.
- Then open the Watch app > General > Software Update.
- Install any available watchOS update.
- Both devices need compatible software versions to sync properly.
Method 4: Reset Sync Data
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Go to General > Reset.
- Tap Reset Sync Data.
