Google Pixel 4 could launch with upgraded RAM

Google has been shipping devices with 4GB of RAM or less for the past couple of years. Even its most recent round of devices, the Google Pixel 3a, only shipped with 4GB of RAM. That said, it appears that Google is finally getting the hint, as they look to add additional RAM for the Google Pixel 4.

This new report comes from BGR, who cites “reliable inside sources”, that say the Google Pixel 4 and Google Pixel 4 XL should ship with 6GB of RAM.

This would be a welcome change, since there are a number of flagship-level handsets that are around the same price, if not more affordable, that come with 6GB and 8GB of RAM.

BGR’s report notes that there are some other changes coming down the line, too. The Pixel 4’s display resolution should sit at 2,280 x 1,080, just a slight bump above the Pixel 3. The Pixel 4 XL should see a slight bump to 3,040 x 1,440 as well.
