Use Wi-Fi Calling on Galaxy S25
Wi-Fi Calling lets your Galaxy S25 place and receive calls over Wi-Fi when cellular signal is weak indoors. Once it is enabled, call quality is often more stable in offices, apartments, and other low-signal areas.
How to turn on Wi-Fi Calling on Galaxy S25
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Turn on the Wi-Fi Calling switch.
- If prompted, review the terms and confirm your emergency address (E911).
If you do not see Wi-Fi Calling in Connections, open the Phone app, tap the three-dot menu > Settings, then enable Wi-Fi Calling there.
Set call preference (if available)
Some carriers let you choose how calls route:
- Wi-Fi preferred: prioritizes Wi-Fi when available.
- Mobile network preferred: uses cellular first, then Wi-Fi as backup.
Choose the option that gives you the most consistent call quality in your area.
Test Wi-Fi Calling
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Turn off mobile signal briefly (or stay in a low-signal area).
- Place a test call.
- Check for a Wi-Fi calling indicator in the status area during the call.
If Wi-Fi Calling is missing or not working
- Update your Galaxy S25: Settings > Software update.
- Confirm your carrier and plan support Wi-Fi Calling for your line.
- Restart the phone and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
- Toggle Wi-Fi Calling off and on again.
- Reset network settings if needed: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.
If it still fails after these checks, contact your carrier to verify Wi-Fi Calling provisioning on your account.
