Use Wi-Fi Calling on Galaxy S25

Wi-Fi Calling lets your Galaxy S25 place and receive calls over Wi-Fi when cellular signal is weak indoors. Once it is enabled, call quality is often more stable in offices, apartments, and other low-signal areas.

How to turn on Wi-Fi Calling on Galaxy S25

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  4. Turn on the Wi-Fi Calling switch.
  5. If prompted, review the terms and confirm your emergency address (E911).

If you do not see Wi-Fi Calling in Connections, open the Phone app, tap the three-dot menu > Settings, then enable Wi-Fi Calling there.

Set call preference (if available)

Some carriers let you choose how calls route:

  • Wi-Fi preferred: prioritizes Wi-Fi when available.
  • Mobile network preferred: uses cellular first, then Wi-Fi as backup.

Choose the option that gives you the most consistent call quality in your area.

Test Wi-Fi Calling

  1. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. Turn off mobile signal briefly (or stay in a low-signal area).
  3. Place a test call.
  4. Check for a Wi-Fi calling indicator in the status area during the call.

If Wi-Fi Calling is missing or not working

  • Update your Galaxy S25: Settings > Software update.
  • Confirm your carrier and plan support Wi-Fi Calling for your line.
  • Restart the phone and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
  • Toggle Wi-Fi Calling off and on again.
  • Reset network settings if needed: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

If it still fails after these checks, contact your carrier to verify Wi-Fi Calling provisioning on your account.
