Existing YouTube TV subscribers get free SHOWTIME over the Summer

YouTube TV is a fairly affordable way to get live TV without signing up for a cable subscription; however, there are a handful of add-ons that can make YouTube TV extremely expensive.

Adding channels to your package like SHOWTIME, STARZ, and AMC can really hike up your bill. However, for existing YouTube TV customers this summer, Google is allowing them to watch SHOWTIME for free all summer long. This can save you a few bucks per month on your YouTube TV subscription.

It sounds like the offer is only available for existing YouTube TV customers, as the offer is to “longtime friend of YouTube TV.” There is not a mention of new customers.

Ultimately, it’s a retargeting tactic, hoping that YouTube TV subscribers will fall in love with SHOWTIME, and stay subscribed after the summer.
