Time Needed : 4 minutes
One of the many ways to optimize and free up storage space on a smartphone is to permanently delete or uninstall unused apps. Uninstalling an app will delete the app itself and all data and files associated with the application.
Uninstalling apps in Android 13 devices can be carried out in different ways. The steps outlined below depict the process of deleting or uninstalling apps on the new Google Pixel 7. Feel free to refer to this guide when needed.
Navigate to the Apps tray to get started. Simply swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to launch the Apps tray.
Once you’re in the Apps tray, find the icon of the app that you’d like to delete or uninstall.
Once you find it, touch and hold on the app icon for a few seconds until you see the quick menu options.
A quick menu usually has two options including Pause and App Info.
Select App info from the menu options to proceed.
Doing so will take you to the App info screen where you can see different app options and controls to manage the app.
Beneath the name of the app are three main commands namely Open, Uninstall, and Force Stop.
To permanently delete the app from the phone, tap Uninstall. A warning prompt will show up next.
Read and review the warning message and then tap OK to confirm.
The selected app will then be uninstalled or deleted from the phone’s storage permanently.
