There was a time when every mobile device came with a removable battery, but that’s not the case now. Why? These are some of the factors that companies take seriously today, and given the benefits of not having a removable battery compared to a non-removable battery, it’s understandable why the manufacturers pick the latter. One can safely say that future smartphones from major companies are unlikely to have removable batteries. This is an unfortunate truth, but something that we have to come to terms with, similar to how the headphone jack is on the verge of extinction, along with the standard micro USB port, which is making way for USB C ports and accessories.

Although it’s hard to find cell phones with removable batteries, you would be surprised to know that there are still a handful of smartphones in 2024 that come with a removable battery. Not all of them are brand new products, but still relevant, given that they were launched recently. Unlike many other smartphones with a removable battery that you can buy in 2024, the Motorola Moto E6 Plus is packed with exciting features and performs well enough even for light gaming.

Its 6.1-inch display has a fairly sharp resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels (~282 ppi density), and all those pixels dance to the tune of a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 and its eight cores. There are two versions of the Motorola Moto E6 Plus to choose from. The more expensive version has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, while the less expensive version has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

If your budget allows it, we recommend you get the more expensive version of the Motorola Moto E6 Plus because you’ll appreciate the extra GB of RAM. Released in March 2019, the Nokia 1 Plus doesn’t hide the fact that it targets a very specific group of smartphone users—first-time owners.
