One of the issues that you might experience when playing 7 Days To Die is when the game will not start or load. You might see a fatal error code when this occurs or the game might just crash to a black screen. Here’s what you need to do to fix this problem.
Solution 1: Make sure your PC can run 7 Days To Die
The first thing you want to do when your 7 Days To Die crashes or does not load is to make sure that your computer has the capability to run the game. Certain hardware requirements are needed to run the game without any issues so make sure that your PC meets at least the minimum system requirements.

Solution 2: Run 7 Days To Die as an administrator
One of the reasons why the game is unable to load is because it can’t access certain Windows components. You will need to run the game as an administrator so that it will have access to these components.
Time needed: 2 minutes.
Run game as administrator
- Right click on the 7 Days To Die application.
You can find this on the Steam installation folder.
- Select Properties.
This will open the properties settings menu.
- Click on the Compatibility mode tab.
This opens the compatibility settings menu.
- Place a check mark on the Run this program as an administrator box.
This allows the game to be run as an administrator.
