We really like Hong Kong Metro because of just how accessible it is. You don’t have to be using an Internet connection in order to access Hong Kong’s MTR information. Just download the app over a Wi-Fi or 4G connection, and then you can easily access the MTR Subway Map whenever you’d like, with or without a connection. The Hong Kong Metro app also has high res graphics, which means that you’ll be able to clearly see the details of the Subway map as well– far better than what you would find on Google Maps. If you have an Internet connection, you can easily search for local and nearby stations as well.

aMetro World Subway Maps
Don’t want to download a transit app for every city you visit? Then you might want to look at an app that combines all of your transit apps into one! With aMetro World, you’ll have access to almost every subway and bus map in the world — that is, specifically in metropolitan areas, such as Hong Kong. There are a handful of other extra features inside, such as being able to plan your own routes and look at estimated arrival times in supported cities.

And in number two position, we’re looking at Citymapper – Transit Navigation. This is actually one of the few subway map apps out there that has a clean and easy to navigate user interface. Not only that, but the service is full of different features as well. It has all the usual transit musts like bus, subway and train routes and real time departure and arrival times. It even has GPS support fo locating nearby stations and buses.

And finally, we have the aptly named Transit app. Transit is similar to Citymapper in a lot of different ways, first and foremost with a clean and easy to navigate user interface. Not only does this app provide you with simple trip planning, but also point to point navigation, and service disruption notifications found in the Hong Kong metropolitan area. Transit is available in other locations as well — in fact, most major cities and capitals can be used with it.
