Tesla’s Hollywood Diner Turns On Massive 45-Foot LED Screens Ahead of Launch

Tesla’s much-anticipated Hollywood-themed diner and Supercharger station just took a major step toward opening with the activation of its two massive 45-foot LED movie screens. The electric vehicle (EV) maker, known for pushing boundaries in both automotive and lifestyle innovation, is blending 1950s nostalgia with modern tech in a concept that’s as much about entertainment as it is about charging.

The installation of the screens was confirmed by longtime Tesla insider Sawyer Merritt, who posted images showing one of the enormous panels displaying a hyper-realistic scene featuring a Tesla vehicle in a suburban setting. The high-resolution LED displays are mounted prominently on the property, intended to entertain diners and drivers alike while their vehicles recharge.

The Hollywood diner, located in Los Angeles near Santa Monica Boulevard, is designed to be a destination Supercharger station — part roadside attraction, part retro drive-in theater, and part fast-casual eatery. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has teased the idea for years, envisioning a place where Tesla owners can order food via the car’s touchscreen, relax, and watch short films or vintage clips on large outdoor screens while they wait.

In line with Musk’s vision, the screens are expected to loop curated content — possibly trailers, classic sci-fi reels, or even original Tesla-produced shorts. While it’s not yet clear what type of dining options will be available on-site, previously filed plans and statements suggest a two-story building with indoor seating, rooftop views, carhop service, and a full retro design.

The Hollywood diner is equipped with over 30 Supercharger stalls, including Tesla’s latest V4 fast chargers, which are capable of delivering up to 350 kW charging speeds. This makes the location one of the most advanced EV charging hubs in the United States in terms of both infrastructure and experience.

Though the full opening date hasn’t been officially announced, the activation of the screens indicates Tesla is nearing the final stages of launch. For Tesla fans and road-trippers alike, this spot is shaping up to be more than just a pit stop — it’s becoming a uniquely Californian fusion of mid-century Americana and modern electric mobility.
