S7 Edge Fails To Send Text Message To Premium Numbers

Problem: Silly question when ever ..  an example ..  capital one or verizon or any thing that is not necessarily a number..   texts me a message about a charge I have to respond with a confirm etc..  I type the response.. and then hit enter and this message comes up (to confirm that I want to send it..  not send it etc.. something about data etc) it does this to only those types of texts I always hit ok..   well accidently today i hit no.. and i think I saw save  and now when I go to respond to those type of texts i get messaged failed I cannot respond. I do not know what I did or how to fix it. can you help me?

Solution: One way to resolve this issue is to change the permission settings to allow the sending of premium SMS. Follow the steps listed below to do this.

  • Tap on Settings
  • Tap on Applications
  • Tap on Application Manager
  • On the upper right side of the screen tap on More then select Show System apps.
  • Look for Message Service then tap it.
  • Change the setting for “ Send premium text message” to Always allow.

There are however instances when you won’t have this setting in your phone. If this is the case then try to check if there are any available software updates for your phone and apply it.

If the setting is still unavailable even if your phone has the latest software version installed then the only way around this problem right now is to do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

S7 Edge Received MMS Creates New Thread

Problem: My wife and few other friends have Samsung phones and when I text them a regular text it works normal when they reply with a picture it creates a new text thread that has ME/(PERSON NAME) that the text is from. I have checked all settings, did safe mode to see if it was a 3rd party app and it still does it. I had my phone replaced 3 weeks ago and still no change. Samsung or T Mobile could not figure it out.

Solution: Several of our readers are also having this very same issue. What you should do in this case is to check if your phone is running on the latest software version first as a bug in the present version might be causing this problem.

Since you already did a factory reset and even replaced the unit that you have which didn’t fix the problem then this could be caused by a bug which might be resolved in the next software update.

S7 Edge Received As Individual Text Message

Problem: I just got my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge and I’m having issues with group texting. I sent messages to a 3 person group, on my phone, it shows as a group thread. But the recipients received the messages I sent individually instead of a group text. I’m hoping you could help me resolve this issue.

Solution: If the message is registering as being sent as a group text in your phone then it’s very likely that the problem is not on your end but on the recipient’s end. If the recipient doesn’t have their mobile data enabled and if they don’t have a mobile data subscription then the group message will arrive on their end individually.

S7 Edge Can’t Receive Send Text To One Contact

Problem: I just got the Galaxy s7 edge about two weeks ago and haven’t had any problems with it until today. One of my contacts is not receiving any of my text and I am not receiving theirs. I can send and receive text from my other contacts and he can send and receive text from his contacts as well.

Solution: What you will need to do first in this case is to check the number of this particular contact and make sure that it is correct. If necessary, delete the contact then add it again. You should also check if the contact has been placed in the block list of the messaging app. To do this open the messages app then on the upper right side tap on more. Tap on Block messages then go to Block list. If you see the number of the particular contact in this list then remove it.

One other thing that you should do is to check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Another factor that can cause this problem is a glitch in the messaging app itself. If this is the case you should clear the cache and data of the messaging app from the application manager.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge Text Message Delay After Airplane Mode Is Turned Off

Problem: I have a Samsung S7 Edge.  I am a pilot and must have my phone in Airplane Mode very frequently.  My issue is that when I turn off Airplane Mode, it can take up to one hour for any text messages or voicemails I may have received while flying to appear on my phone.  My emails, though, are there immediately.  It is very annoying.  This never happened with my previous phone (S6).  What can I do?  Thank you

Solution: This problem could either be caused by the network or a glitch in the phone software. Since we can’t troubleshoot the network itself then you will have to proceed with checking the phone. Usually in cases such as this it’s a form of corrupt temporary data that’s the culprit. To check if this is the case you have to start your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. Once this is done restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then I recommend that you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

S7 Edge No Sending Text To iPhones

Problem: I have a new (month old) S7 edge and I just found out that my texts to certain iPhones are not reaching the recipients. This happened right after I got the phone and I disabled the iMessage feature on the Apple website and I thought I had the issue fixed. But now, the recipients are getting no texts or texts coming from weird email addresses involving my phone number that I never set up.

Solution: Are the text messages that you sent registered as sent on your phone? If they are then what you should do is to double check if your number is still attached to the iMessage service by checking it on the Apple website. You should also have your contacts delete your message thread in their phones. Once this is done try sending them a message.

S7 Edge Text Message Sent Not Received

Problem: Phone is showing the messages as they have been sent, however the other recipients are not receiving them. All on different carriers. I’ve tried clear & cache my messages, and that didn’t resolve the issue.

Solution: If the message is marked as sent on your phone then it has been sent out. To check if your phone can send text messages try sending your own number a message. If you receive it then there is no problem with your device. You should let your recipients check their phone as to why they are not receiving your message.

If however you don’t receive it then start the troubleshooting by clearing the cache and data of the messaging app. You should also consider doing a factory reset if clearing the cache and data does not work. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
