J7 Screen Has Become White

Problem: Hello ! My samsung j7 has a problem with white screen actually it’s like everything is working properly it’s just the screen which has gone white even i’m able to see the wallpaper and also i’m able to call listen music and all everything but the only problem is that there is transparent white screen on my phone maybe it’s cause of water or something . and i hope that you will try to solve my problem.

Solution: What you should do right now is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this you will need to start the phone in Safe Mode. Once the phone is in this mode check if the screen is still white. If it isn’t then you might have installed an app that is causing this problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the problem still occurs in Safe Mode the next step is to check if a software glitch is causing this problem. To do this you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Should the problem remain after the reset then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty display. Has our phone come into contact with water or have you dropped it recently? These are the factors that can cause this problem. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Black Screen After Getting Wet

Problem: My phone became wet when i forgot that my phone was in my pocket and i got completely wet in waterfall. Now my phone is in on state but it has black screen the power button and home key is not working What can i do now help plzz

Solution: The first thing that you will do whenever your phone gets wet is to wipe it first with a dry cloth. Remove the back cover, battery, SIM card and microSD card and wipe them as well in case they got wet. Once the phone exterior is dry the next problem is to remove the moisture that is present inside the phone. You can do this by leaving the phone to dry for at least 48 hours. Alternatively, you can also place the phone in a bag of rice for 48 hours as the rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then the phone is most likely water damaged in which case you will need to bring it to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Screen Flickers when Brightness Is Set To Low

Problem: my phone facing flickering issue when I turn my brightness in lower mode after I turn bright a bit the problem does not appear I want to confirm that is this problem related to software issue or LCD problem please help me about this thanks!

Solution: There are several factors that can cause this particular problem which can basically be boiled down to two reasons, a software or hardware issue. The troubleshooting steps that we will be doing is going to eliminate the software factors.

  • Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
  • Try to check if a software update is causing the problem by forcing the phone to use the GPU to make screen adjustments. This is done by accessing the developer mode. To get this mode in your phone go to Settings – System – About device. Find the Build number then tap on it repeatedly until you get the message that says “You are now a developer”. Exit from this then go back to Settings – System – Developer Options. Drawing Section or Rendering Section – Find “Turn off hardware overlays” or “disable hardware overlays”.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Cannot Change Notification Sound

Problem: Hey. I do not want to factory reset my phone and no app is causing this but every time I try to set my default notification to something new, it still plays the old one, I’ve restarted my device, powered it off, took out the battery and sim card, everything possible I tried but it still played the old notification sound despite me having the new notification activated.

Solution: Are you trying to change the notification sound to a sound that you downloaded or you saved in your phone? If this is the case then try changing the notification sound to a stock sound that came with your phone. This way you can check if the problem is caused by the sound file that you have.

In case the problem still persists even when trying the stock notification sounds then the best thing you can do right now aside from a factory reset is to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. If this doesn’t fix the problem then you should consider doing a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

J7 Does Not Charge

Problem: Samsung won’t charge i’ve narrowed it down to the phone itself the port or battery it plugs in like it’s about to charge then green lights blinks down by USB port that it’s not charging I’ve tried and tested numerous cords and chargers it is the phone..I attempted bending up the tab slightly as recommended in another charge problem article nothing. It worked fine yesterday it’s now off at 5 ? I’m using an old phone wifi to send this what should I do? Does a faulty port mean I need to buy a new phone?

Solution: Have you tried cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air? Sometimes dirt or debris stuck in this port can cause charging problems. If the port is free from any obstructions and you are still having charging problems then it’s very likely that the port is damaged. You don’t need to buy a new phone though as this port can be easily replaced at a service center.

J7 Switches Off Automatically

Problem: I am using Samsung j7 2015 model .my mobile problem is switched off automatically when battery comes at 73% and if i need to restart it I have to keep it in charge then only will it restart …..my opinion is battery problem.

Solution: It definitely looks like a battery problem. The good thing is that the battery of this phone is removable so it makes it easy to replace. Get a new battery then check if the problem still occurs. If it does then you should try doing a factory reset to eliminate any possibility of this problem being caused by a software glitch. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
