Fix #2 Update Graphics Card Driver

The next thing to do is to update your graphics drivers. You may be experiencing this game crashing issue because you are using an outdated graphics driver. You can use Windows to update your graphics driver. You can also download the latest driver version of graphics drivers on the manufacturer website or you can use the GeForce Experience application if you have NVIDIA GPU or use Radeon software if you have AMD GPU.

You should also make sure that the video card is your preferred graphic processor when playing the game. Users of NVIDIA can change to their preferred GPU through NVIDIA’s control panel. If you have AMD graphics card, use the Radeon software then change the preferred graphic processor using switchable graphics application settings.

Fix #4 Temporarily Disable Windows Security and Windows Defender Firewall

Another reason for the crashes with the game is because of an antivirus software that constantly scans the folder for viruses then blocking it and a Windows Firewall that wont allow the game to communicate with the server. You can try to temporarily disable antivirus and Windows Firewall and try to play and see if it crashes. If does not crash then you can add it to the exclusion list of your antivirus and allow it on your firewall. Step 1: Type Firewall in the search bar on your desktop and then click the icon that appears in the results.

Step 2: Choose Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.

Fix #4 Close Background Programs

Background programs that are running in the background of your computer while you play the Predecessor can also be the cause of the crashes.
