OxygenOS 9.0.7 goes live for OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T

We might now be on the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, but OnePlus hasn’t forgotten about its older devices. Announced on the OnePlus Forums, OxygenOS 9.0.7 is now rolling out for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.

In tow with the update is the June 2019 Android security patch. Coming with it is something called Fnatic Mode, which blocks out all notifications, and unnecessary background tasks in order to dedicate more resources to gaming.

Here’s the full changelog:

  • System
    • Updated Android security patch to 2019.6
    • Added Screen recorder feature (Quick Settings – Edit – Screen Recorder)
    • Added Quick reply in landscape (Settings – Utilities – Quick reply in landscape)
    • General bug fixes and system improvements
  • Gaming mode
    • Added Fnatic mode (Settings – Utilities – Gaming mode)
  • Phone
    • Fixed issue with Speed Dial

The update is now rolling out for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, but as usual with these things, it is generally an incremental rollout, so it will take time to get to everyone’s phones.
