NASA’s Curiosity Rover Has Found Evidence Of Ancient Lake On Mars

NASA’s Curiosity rover has made a remarkable discovery on Mars. It found evidence of an ancient lake in an area that was expected to be dry. The rover beamed back pictures of rippled patterns on the rocks, which were caused by the waves of a shallow lake billions of years ago.

Curiosity has also spotted debris in a valley that was washed down by wet landslides on Mount Sharp. This allows scientists to study how Mars changed from a warmer climate with plentiful water to the freezing desert it is today.

Another rover, Perseverance, landed on Mars in February 2021. It will collect 30 rock and soil samples to be sent back to Earth for lab analysis. This will help scientists understand the history of Mars and if there was ever any microbial life on the planet.
