How to set up Iris Recognition (Iris Scanner) on Galaxy Tab S4

With Galaxy Tab S4, Samsung has intentionally shied away from fingerprint unlock and instead replaced it with Iris Unlock and Facial Recognition. In this short tutorial, we show you how to prepare your device to recognize your Iris to unlock it. In order to set up Iris Recognition properly, make sure that you are in well lit room or environment with plenty of light. If you are wearing glasses or contact lenses, remove them. In order for this feature to work optimally, avoid using screen protectors or tempered glass.

Setting up your device for Iris recognition is as easy as following instructions. Be careful though not to overdo it to avoid any unnecessary hassles. This feature may not be available all the time, depending on how your firmware is setup. For devices provided by your company, Iris recognition may not be available. If you are getting an error when setting it up, contact your IT department to know whether or not this is being blocked.
