How to Beat Every Boss in Sonic Superstars The Easy Way

Navigating the Challenges of Sonic Superstars: A Comprehensive Boss Guide

Sonic Superstars brings a fresh wave of excitement and challenge to the Sonic franchise, with a diverse array of bosses that test your skills and strategies. To help you overcome these formidable foes, we've compiled a detailed guide on how to beat every boss in the game.

Bridge Island Zone Bosses

Act 2 Boss – Dr. Eggman

The first boss you'll encounter is Dr. Eggman in Bridge Island Zone Act 2. Here’s how to take him down:

  • Phase 1: Dr. Eggman will march towards you, bend down, and rotate his upper body before launching himself into the air. Use this opportunity to run underneath him and avoid danger. When he lands in a seated position, jump on his back for an easy hit.
  • Phase 2: Dr. Eggman will turn and launch one of his rocket hands at you. Jump out of the way and then run up to him while his hand is stuck in the ground to hit him in the face.
  • Final Phase: After sustaining enough damage, Dr. Eggman will shed his robotic legs and summon a new pair of spiky mitts. Be ready to dodge his spikes and look for opportunities to bounce on his head again. If you've unlocked the Avatar Emerald Power, use it to summon clones that can land multiple hits on Dr. Eggman.

Speed Jungle Zone Bosses

Act 1 Boss – Horned Moss-quito

This boss is relatively simple:

  • Wait for the Horned Moss-quito to fire its nose hook at you.
  • Spin dash up the line it creates to hit it.

Act 2 Boss – Egg and Chain

This boss requires a bit more strategy:

  • The boss will fire multiple hook shots at you. Jump to create a path up toward the boss and use its own hook shot to damage it, as basic attacks won’t work.

Sky Temple Zone Boss

Act 1 Boss – The Eggcopter

To defeat the Eggcopter:

  • Climb up the floating platforms to reach the Eggcopter.
  • Deal damage while avoiding missiles and attacks. This fight is straightforward and repetitive.

Pinball Carnival Zone Bosses

Act 1 Boss – Get Clowned

This three-phase fight involves:

  • Phase 1: Hit the blue clown faces to turn them red. Once all faces are red, the clown will flip upside down, making it vulnerable to attack.
  • Phase 2 & 3: Repeat the process in new arenas, avoiding bombs and electricity. In the final phase, use the bumpers to reach the highest clown faces and avoid the electrically charged clown.

Act 2 Boss – Egg Rolled

To beat Egg Rolled:

  • Wait for one of the two blue circles to drop to the ground. After throwing bombs, use the spinners to launch yourself up to hurt Dr. Eggman.
  • Alternatively, wait for the phase where Dr. Eggman drops green ghosts, making him low enough to be hit.

Lagoon City Zone Bosses

Act 1 Boss – ElectroSquid

To defeat the ElectroSquid:

  • Avoid the smaller enemies it throws out, which are mainly distractions.
  • Watch out for its spear when it penetrates the ground, shooting off electricity. Jump to avoid damage and then hit the boss while it’s stuck in place.

Act 2 Boss – Eggmarine

To beat the Eggmarine:

  • Hit the big red button repeatedly while fighting underwater. If you have the Water Chaos Emerald powerup, it will make this fight much easier.

Sand Sanctuary Zone Boss

Act 1 Boss – My Drill will Egg the Heavens

To defeat this boss:

  • Fire back the blue mole-like creatures that Dr. Eggman sends at you under the sand. These creatures will deal damage to Dr. Eggman when hit.
  • Alternatively, when Dr. Eggman tries to take out the floor beneath you, he will pop up, exposing himself to your attacks.

Press Factory Zone Boss

Act 1 Boss – Mm RoboMonke

To beat the RoboMonke:

  • Dodge the pillars that can instantly kill you.
  • Wait for the RoboMonke to start swinging. After it stops moving and its electricity dissipates, attack it.

General Tips for Success

  • Power-ups: Finding Chaos Emeralds hidden throughout the game can give you significant advantages in boss fights. For example, using the Avatar Emerald Power can summon clones to attack Dr. Eggman, making fights easier.
  • Pattern Recognition: Most bosses in Sonic Superstars follow predictable patterns. Recognizing these patterns and timing your attacks accordingly is crucial for success.
  • Environmental Awareness: Use the environment to your advantage. For instance, in the Egg and Chain boss fight, use the boss’s own hook shots to climb up and attack.

By following these strategies and tips, you'll be well-equipped to overcome the challenges posed by the bosses in Sonic Superstars.
