Problem: Hi I am having an issue with the Wifi not turning on even after cache wiped, soft reset and full factory reset wifi stuck saying turning on. I am in Vodafone UK

Solution: You already performed all of the troubleshooting steps that needs to be done to check if the phone software is causing the problem which in this case fails to work. This is most likely caused by a hardware issue already however since you mentioned that this issue started after a software update you should consider flashing your phone first with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can get the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website where you can also find the instructions on how to flash your phone.

If flashing the phone fails to fix the problem then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: It’s possible that when the software of your phone got the update the APN settings of the phone got changed. Try to check these settings on your phone and make sure that it matches the settings of your network provider. Make the necessary changes on your phone if needed. If your phone is already using the correct APN settings and the issue still persists then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

Once the reset is complete check the APN settings of your phone again then if it is correct try to go online. If the issue still remains then you should contact your network provider regarding this matter as this might already be an account or network related issue.

S6 Edge Phone Can’t Connect To 4G

Problem: Hi, I have Galaxy S6 edge and i have a problem since 5 months. When I put my phone on 4G the network goes offline (internet and calls) but if i put it on 2G everything is fine. I don’t know if this problem came with Android 6.0.1 update or not. Please help me and thank you for this useful website.

Solution: Is this phone previously locked to another network? If you had this phone unlocked and it was previously locked to a CDMA network and you are now using it on a GSM network then it is possible that this issue can occur.

Another factor that can cause this problem is a third party app that you installed in your phone. To check if this is the case just start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone works in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. In case the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
