S7 Edge Stops Charging At Certain Percentage

Problem: Most of the time when i charge my S7 edge the approximate time for full charge is not seen and it also stops charging at a particular %. Sometimes it stops at 84 and sometime at 85%. If i turn off the mobile then the charging continues and reach 100%. This issue started occuring after i changed my display at the samsung service centre since then i visited the service centre 5 times and even after changing the charging cable, again the display (as they doubted it cud be the problem of the charging port) and battery, and yesterday got my adapter changed. Even then the issue is still there when i charged my mobile yesterday night. Though it didn’t stop at any particular %, after reaching 100% and even though after leaving it for 20 minutes the full charge green light led was not seen but only charging light led red was seen and moreover the fast charging 100% was seen in the lock screen. I really don’t know what to do as the service centre people themselves are surprised. The phone is just less than 8 months old..

Solution: One thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then we can eliminate a software glitch as a possible cause to this problem.

The next step right now is to have the battery checked as this might be causing the problem. I recommend that you have this battery replaced with a new one.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could be caused by some internal component that is failing to work. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Edge Will Not Charge

Problem: Hi I have a S7 edge.I was browsing the internet that i noticed my phone’s charge is low. Then suddenly it turned off. (I guess because my charge was low) After that it wont charge i tested with original charger and wireless one. and also it won’t respond to anything such as Hard reset and etc.

Solution: When the battery of your phone gets fully drained it will take some time for the phone to respond after you charge it. Try leaving your phone charged for at least 20 minutes using its original charger then check if the phone will turn on. If it doesn’t then you should follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. Check if the phone will turn on.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Turns Back Off After Starting

Problem: My phone will not turn on at all even tried factory reset i thought it was taking forever because the battery was completely drained now Verizon tried to factory reset it and the Samsung galaxy s7 edge plus sign pops on then a blue screen saying it’s updating software or something and then turns right back off please help

Solution: Try to check if the same issue occurs when the phone is connected to its charger. If the phone stays on when it is connected to its charger then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. I recommend that you have this battery replaced at a service center.

If the issue still occurs even when the phone is connected to its charger then this could already be caused by a faulty internal component possibly the power IC. You need to have this checked at a service center if this is the case.

S7 Edge Screen Flickering Stuck In Samsung Logo After Underwater Use

Problem: I took a picture underwater not fully submerged. Water got in through the sim slot. The phone samsung galaxy s7 edge restarted but the touch wont work by which i could not turn the phone off. I tried doing the hard reset but the screen is stuck with the samsung galaxy s7 logo and now it is stuck with samsung logo and flickering screen. Now i have just put the phone in the rice. What should i do next? Please help me.

Solution: You can confirm is water has indeed seeped into the device by checking on the liquid damage indicator sticker of the phone.

  • Place the SIM card ejector in the SIM card hole.
  • Remove the SIM tray from your device.
  • Peek inside the SIM slot to view the LDI sticker.
  • When exposed to liquid the LDI will turn bright red.

Placing the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours is the first thing that you should do if the phone has suffered some water damage. Once this is done check if the issue still persists. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Keeps Rebooting When Using Wi-Fi

Problem: my phone keeps on rebooting when i’m using it with wifi and with apps like facebook messenger and chrome, and sometimes it crashes too, when i’m just using it without wifi and i don’t know how to fix it and the more i use the s7 edge the more the crash and reboots happens and sometime even if the cell phone is restarting it freezes right before the “samsung galaxy s7 edge” appears before the cellphone turns on when you restart it and sometimes it freeze to when the “samsung” word come off the screen before the cellphone starts. i’ll be waiting for your answer ma’am/sir thank you and godbless hope you can help me with my problem.

Solution: Do you have a microSD card installed in your phone? If you have one installed then try removing it as this might be causing the problem.

If your phone does not have a microSD card or if the problem till occurs even after removing the microSD card then you should follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge Stuck On Installing System Update Screen

Problem: After doing a hard reset my device is stick on “Installing system update” even after trying multiple times it is still stuck. Any advice? Thank you!

Solution: Try simulating a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.

If the problem persists then you should try doing an emergency software recovery using Smart Switch.

If the above step fails to fix the problem then try flashing your phone with its stock firmware file using Odin. You can get your phone’s firmware file from the Sammobile website which should also have the instructions on how to flash your phone.
