Note 4 Unfortunately Messages Has Stopped

Problem: When I go to use emojis in my texting, Messages closes and a box with, “Unfortunately, Messages has stopped.”  This is the first time I have tried to use the emoji in the text since the software update last night, and every time I try to use one, it crashes.

Solution: This type of issue is usually caused by some form of corrupt data. What you need to do first in this case is to clear the cache and data of the messaging app. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then the next step is to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will delete the temporary data of the device which could be causing the issue.

Another possible factor that can cause this problem is a certain third party app installed in your device. To check if this is the case you need to start your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode try sending a text message then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you installed in your device. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Finally, since you mentioned that this issue occured right after the software update then it could be caused by some leftover data from the old software version. To properly get rid of this old data you need to do a factory reset. Take note that this will also delete your phone data so make sure to create a backup copy first.

Note 4 Unfortunately Samsung Accessory Service Has Stopped After Marshmallow Update

Problem: After installing latest version 6.0.1, I started getting a error message , “unfortunately Samsung Accessory service has stopped”…I deleted it, in application manager, it solved the annoying message popup, but now it pops up in a less direct way then goes away right away instead of effecting the functionality like before, do I need this apk file to operate different functions on the phone?  Also I noticed my phone keeps getting notices that android icloud is not connected and that my poweramp app is lagging now.

Solution: The Samsung accessory service allows your phone to have a reliable connection with other accessories such as the Samsung Gear S2. Checking on the review however of this app at the Google Play Store shows that it only has less than 3 stars. A lot of people are complaining that the app does not work well, crashes, and is buggy. If no new update is available for this app from the Google Play Store then I suggest you leave the app uninstalled first.

Regarding the other issues that you are experiencing with your device which happens to occur right after the Marshmallow update this could be caused by some form of leftover data from the old software version. Normally, this data should be completely removed but there are instances where it gets left behind. It is during this instance that issues occur on the device. To resolve this matter you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Unfortunately Samsung Keyboard Has Stopped Error

Problem: Message says, “Unfortunately Samsung Keyboard has stopped”.  I went to application manager as your site suggests, scroll to all to try and find “Samsung Keyboard” and it is not there.    As it is not there, I can’t clear the cache or stored data as you suggest.  Help, I can’t stand the other keyboards like Google Keyboard or Swype.   I want the #’s on the top and the bigger keyboard.   I have vision issues.

Solution: If you can’t find the Samsung Keyboard or Keyboard app then try clearing the cached data of all the apps in your phone. To do this you need to go to Settings – Storage & USB – Clear Cached Data. Click on the Clear Cached Data option to clear the cache of all of your apps. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs.

If the problem still persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Can’t Be Accessed Due To Unfortunately Samsung Keyboard Has Stopped Error

Problem: I can’t access my phone because I can’t unlock the screen. When I use the camera shortcut, there is a message appearing on the screen: “Unfortunately the samsung keyboard has stopped” I have clear the cache, rebooted it, restarted it, removed the battery for more than ten seconds, the issue remain. Can you please help?

Solution: What you need to do in this case is to start your phone in recovery mode. This is a separate environment from the main operating system. From here it is very likely that the keyboard has stopped error will not pop up. What you need to do first in this mode is to wipe the cache partition of your phone. Once this is done restart your phone then see if the issue gets resolved. If the problem persists then you will need to start your phone again in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that all of your phone data will be deleted in this process. If you haven’t made a backup copy of your data then you should try to do it with the help of Kies or Smart Switch.

Note 4 Unfortunately Music Has Stopped Error

Problem: My music only plays one song then stops and  says unfortunately music has stopped

Solution: For this particular issue you need to concentrate on the music app first. Clear the cache and data of this app then check if the issue gets resolved.

If you are not using the stock music player app then try to use it. If you have a third party music app installed in your phone then try uninstalling it.

Sometimes the storage location of the music file can cause a problem, especially if it is stored in the microSD card and this card is faulty. Try transferring some music files to the internal storage of your phone then play these files. If the error does not occur then the issue could be caused by the microSD card. Change this microSD card.

Wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode also helps in this case.

If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
