ZTE Imperial II

ZTE has just launched the successor to the popular Imperial handset, courtesy of U.S. Cellular. Known as the Imperial II, the smartphone is now up for grabs with an asking price of just $149.99 off contract on prepaid or $0.01 if you’re fine with a two year agreement. This is an upgrade in every sense of the word and comes with a heavily improved specs sheet compared to the predecessor.

The Imperial II comes with a 5 inch 960 x 540 resolution display, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, Android 4.4 KitKat, a 2,300 mAh battery, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. Like the predecessor, the Imperial II is also 4G LTE compatible, which is a bonus for a budget offering.

The Imperial II is a result of listening to what customers want and applying our expertise to produce an affordable premium device. Not only does the phone have one of the biggest and brightest screens in its price class, it also has a better user experience with features such as LTE and a quad-core processor you won’t find in similar devices,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA.
