Verizon Wireless Officially Announces LG Intuition for $199

The LG Optimus Vu was definitely nothing like the Samsung Galaxy Note’s popularity as you can imagine, but that’s not going to stop Verizon Wireless from launching the handset as the LG Intuition on Thursday, September 6th (2 days away) for $199 on contract. The big problem with this handset is that the screen size sits at 5 inches, but has an aspect ration of 4:3. As you can imagine, the Galaxy Note technically being the first “Phablet” on the market, is what many people thought was way to large for a handset. In reality though, The LG Optimus Vu (LG Intuition) is what is way too large. LG apparently thinks that the 4:3 aspect ration makes the screen better for reading, while that may be true, the handset is way to large and annoying for an everyday device. It mine as well be a 5 inch tablet as it’s just plain annoying. If you haven’t heard of this device or just aren’t familiar with it, it comes with a Rubberdium pen, which is essentially LG’s version of Samsung’s S Pen that you’ll find on the Galaxy Note 2 or Galaxy Note 10.1 (among other devices with those two listed being the most notable). To make a final decision though, you’re going to have to visit the Verizon Wireless store yourself to see the device in action. You won’t be able to do that until September 10th though.

The LG Optimus Vu or “Intuition” features a 5 inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio to fully use the screen size and eliminate any extra real estate space. It’ll also be feature a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1 gig of RAM, an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording, a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera and will be powered Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. As you can imagine, with the rise of Amazon apps, you’ll see a suite of different Amazon apps on the handset such as Kindle, Mp3 and Audible (that’s just a few of the many on the device.

Is anyone interested in getting this device from Verizon?

  1. What an absolute piece of garbage. The LG phone is so badly designed that the stylus it ships with does not fit in the phone. SO you have to carry your phone and stylus separately in your pocket. The LG phone is a polished turd compared to the Galaxy Note 2. Verizon must think their customers are morons to buy this half baked POS.
