Note 4 Unable To Make Calls

Problem: Note 4 Unable To Make Calls – I have the wifi calling turned off as it was unusable.  I can actually see the bars drop when I turn on the wifi and watch them go from 3-5 when I turn it off…

Solution: You need to determine first if this issue is caused by the Wi-Fi network your phone is connected to. Try using a different Wi-Fi network and check if the issue still persists. You should also make sure that the Wi-Fi network you are connected to has sufficient speed by running a speedtest. For Wi-Fi calling you need a speed of at least 250 Kbps or 0.25 Mbps. If possible try to reset the modem, router, and your phone before running the speedtest. If the issue persists then I suggest you contact your network provider and inquire if there are any issues regarding Wi-Fi calling.

Note 4 Answer Screen Does Not Appear

Problem: When my phone rings I am unable to answer it sometimes as the answer screen does not appear. It happens whether I am using an app or not. When the caller has ended the call it does show up in the call logs as a missed call.

Solution: Issues such as this are usually caused by a corrupt temporary data. Try to clear the cache and data of your phone application. It’s also a good idea to follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone. Check and see if the issue still persists.

If you are still having the same problem then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.

Note 4 Call Volume Is Low

Problem: Despite on full volume, sound quality when on call is low compared to other phones. Can barely hear the person on the other side.

Solution: Several owners of this model have also been complaining of this low call volume despite the volume set to maximum. To start the troubleshooting check the earpiece if there is something blocking the hole. Sometimes dirt may get in and block the sound from getting out. If you spot any dirt then try to clean it with a toothpick or a can of compressed air. You can also further increase the call volume while on a call by pressing the small green circle near the upper right side of the screen. You should also try to press the volume up button while on a call to make sure that it is set to the maximum level.

Note 4 Increase Ring Duration During Calls

Problem: Is there anyway, in settings maybe, to set the number of rings on your phone for incoming calls? I would like to set mine to a large number to give me time to get to it and answer it, but I cannot find a setting for it. Please help ! Thank you!

Solution: How long your phone rings before the call is sent to your voicemail (if you have it activated) is actually controlled by your carrier. You can try to contact your carrier regarding this and have them extend the time.
