Top 5 Snapdragon S4 Dual-Core Chip Android Smartphones

There have been so many Android smartphones released especially since February this year.  The funny fact is that so many of them run either a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor or a Tegra 3 processor.  There are food reasons for this, as I already highlighted 7 reasons why manufacturers (and you) should choose a Snapdragon S4 Android device here.  Soon, I will post on the advantages and bright sides of a Tegra 3 processor and reasons why you should choose it.  For now, I am going to highlight the best 5 Android smartphones that run on a Snapdragon S4 processor.

1. [easyazon-link asin=”B008HTJLF6″ locale=”us”]Samsung Galaxy S III[/easyazon-link]

Many may argue with me about this belief I have but I believe that the S3 is the King of smartphones, not even the iPhone 5 comes beats it in performance.  And it so happens that this phone runs on my favorite processor, the Snapdragon S4 processor.  Many smartphones that may challenge S3’s power are in the works but somehow I believe the S3 will stay on top of the list of high performance smartphones till the end of the year, maybe even longer.  Its 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, high performance 2100 mAh battery, 8 MP camera and 2 GB RAM have set the standards for smartphones in the industry.  I should also point out that the S3 is available on all major carriers in the US, if you want to get one, then you will not have limited options.

2. [easyazon-link asin=”B0096QYH80″ locale=”us”]Motorola Droid RAZR M[/easyazon-link]

Of all Motorola phones ever launched, this is one that I was intruiged with most since the V3.  Motorola, now under Google, made a complete U turn in the phones they make and produced quite an impressive device with admirable specs that rival HTC’s One X.  The selling feature of the Droid M is its long lasting battery and the high performance processor.  Its qHD display my raise eyebrows but I assure you wouldn’t be disappointed if you are a gamer and are looking for something that presents high quality rendering on game graphics.  The design of the phone in general is different in a good way, the phone’s shape makes it easier to handle and for the $99 on a 2 year contract you will spend on it, I would say it is a steal.

3. [easyazon-link asin=”B007UOIVAU” locale=”us”]HTC One X[/easyazon-link]

The HTC One X is probably the oldest on my list but it is still one of the most admired smartphones on the market today – well, until HTC finally launches the rumored HTC One X+ which is said to have better specs than this one.  For now, though, if you are an HTC fan and want a phone with amazing power and with a Snapdragon S4 under the hood, then this is it.  The One X, like all HTC phones, has a non-removable battery but this is not such a big issue especially since it has quite a good battery for an average user.

4. [easyazon-link asin=”B007ZUN6GS” locale=”us”]HTC Evo 4G LTE[/easyazon-link]

The HTC Evo 4G LTE is a creation of HTC and Sprint.  Although it was launched way earlier this year, this phone’s popularity still dominates the Android and the smartphone market.  Sprint launched 4G LTE services and the EVO was at the center of it, providing the very best service for its users.  With HD display features, 16 GB storage and an entire Gigabyte of RAM, this is a must have for users who expect nothing but the best performance from their Android device.

Core Specs

Processor: 1.5 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4 with Adreno 225 GPU

Operating System: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.1 Jelly Bean on the way

Memory: 1 GB RAM, 16 GB Onboard memory with MicroSD card slot

Cameras: 8 Megapixels rear, 1.3 Megapixels front

Battery: 2000 mAh Battery

5. [easyazon-link asin=”B0096ETHOG” locale=”us”]LG Intuition[/easyazon-link]

The LG Intution is different from the rest of the devices on this list for a good reason – the screen display ratio.  With a 4:3 display ratio, this phone has surprisingly won a lot of praises but I believe it is largely because its wider screen means that users will have a better typing keyboard and better view of browser screens.  This phone was originally designed for the South Korean market but it has found a home in Europe and in US markets – LG’s gamble on the screen ratio finally paid off.  The phone’s performance is quite impressive, probably the best performing LG has released so far.  If you are a texter or want a device to watch your movies without flipping your phone, then this is what you are looking for.

Core Specs

Processor: 1.5 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4

Operating System: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Cameras: 8 Megapixels rear, 1.3 MP front cameras

Battery: 2080 mAh
