The LG Zero is a midrange handset with a metal body

LG Zero

The #LGClass smartphone was officially announced by the company back in September. The manufacturer has now released the global version of the device, known as the LG Zero, packing the same metal body and midrange hardware underneath. To avoid confusion, LG has mentioned that it will continue selling the device under the Class moniker in regions where the handset is already available.

The company has mentioned that the LG Zero will be sold starting in Taiwan first, while other markets of Asia, Europe and Latin America will find the smartphone over the coming months.

The LG Zero comes with a 5 inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor (possibly the Snapdragon 410), a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, 16GB of storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD), 1.5GB of RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop and a 2,050 mAh battery. LG has mentioned that the smartphone will be sold in gold and silver color variants at launch.

While the company is yet to formally announce the handset for the North American markets, we expect it to land on some of the popular prepaid carriers in the region.
