Following the launch of the Huawei P8 Lite in the U.S., the company has now taken the wraps off the TalkBand B2 wearable in the country carrying a price tag of just $179.99. This is more of a fitness tracker + smartwatch, rather than a standalone notifications tracker.
The TalkBand B2 was first shown off back during the Mobile World Congress in early March and has finally arrived in the U.S. as part of Huawei’s aggressive push towards bringing its products to the U.S. markets.
If you’re wondering why a fitness tracker is priced at $180, it’s because this isn’t just a fitness tracker. The display can be removed and used as a standalone Bluetooth headset if need be, so it serves a variety of functions. The TalkBand B2 is also capable of pairing with the Jawbone UP platform to sync data.
The bands are available in rubber or leather variants, so there are multiple choices in that area. As is the case with fitness bands of this caliber, the TalkBand 2 is IP55 and IP57 certified.
